Türk Maarif College
Türk Maarif College, is the oldest college of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and it is a well-established institution that provides secondary and high school education. Entrance to the school is through the College Entrance Examination held after primary school.
Turkish Cypriots settled in the northern part of Nicosia, which was divided into two due to inter-communal problems that started in 1963. Due to the fact that the English School, where many Turkish Cypriot students were being educated, is located in the south, a new school named “Köşklüçiftlik English School” was established by the Turkish Cypriot teachers formerly working at the English School. This school was transferred to the Education Department in 1967.
